Which CBC bands does VAS use?

Report cards use the KICD four-level rubric: EE (Exceeding Expectations), ME (Meeting Expectations), AE (Approaching Expectations), and BE (Below Expectations). Schools can still run percentage or KCSE-style grades where that pathway applies.

Can we print branded PDF report cards?

Yes. Teachers and admins generate term report cards as branded PDFs with the school identity, learner details, competency comments, and verification-friendly layout for parents.

Does this replace KNEC or KICD portals?

No. VAS is your school’s grade book and report-card printer. Official national assessment portals remain with the Ministry, KNEC, and KICD. You export and share what your school owns.

Can parents see results on a phone?

When parent portals are enabled, guardians open results and download PDFs from a phone-first PWA — the same tenant URL as the rest of the school.
