Questions
- Is VAS the Ministry KEMIS portal?
- No. VAS is not the Ministry of Education KEMIS (or NEMIS) website. We do not log you into government systems. We export a KEMIS-ready CSV from the student records you already keep in VAS, so you can prepare the return the Ministry expects.
- What is in the export?
- Typical columns include UPI, admission number, names, gender, date of birth, county, sub-county, disability status, class/form, and school code. Empty fields stay blank rather than blocking the file.
- Who should use this?
- School administrators and data clerks who already capture learner bio-data in VAS and need a spreadsheet they can check before uploading or keying into the official Ministry portal.
- Does VAS submit data to the Ministry for us?
- No. Submission, passwords, and statutory deadlines stay with the school and the Ministry portal. VAS only helps you assemble a clean export from your tenant.
